Can I throw my shoes in the washing machine?

I have a pair of Nike shox. They are partially made of cloth, and rubber, i'm not sure what the other parts are..some kind of leather maybe.
Man made material does fine in the washer with a little bleach. Leather will do OK, washing on delicate cycle is recommended. Put them out to dry with the tongue of the shoes pulled back, they dry quicker. You can touch up the leather with white shoe polish, just a dab here and there. Depending on how worn they are, they could look new. Good luck!
If the majority of the shoe is made of cloth and rubber, I think washing them in the washing machine should be fine. Just don't dry them in the dryer, not because it could hurt the shoes, but it can knock the timing out in the dryer.
yes you can throw them in the washing machine
YES! But set them outside to dry in the sun.
I have several pairs of sneakers including Nike,,I wash them all the time,,I dry them near a heater because my dryer is not hooked up yet,,lol. But they need to dry out completely and not outside so flys & bugs dont land & breed on them. That sounds gross but true. You can also use baking soda & a toothbrush to clean the bottoms.
I have some shox too and I wash them all the time, sometimes I use bleach on them and they come out fine. Just don't put them in the dryer because they will shrink a little.
Not familiar with Shox. Most manmade materials can go through the wash with minimal side effects. Our 13 year old gets his shoes dirty riding the 4 wheeler so his shoes get washed periodically and they seem to hold up ok. If you decide to go ahead, I'd run a short cycle. Instead of the dryer, which might shrink those man made materials, try this. Stuff the inside of your shoes nice and snug with regular newspaper, newsprint not slick or glossy. Turn them on their side and leave them overnight.
i washed my sons shoxs and nothing happened to them.. i think i washed them about 4 to 5 times,, i sprayed shout on them, and bleach ,cause they were black and white, but i always wash all of our shoes.. there is 10 in my family.
If I washed them in the machine I would prefer to wash them in one with no agitator, so they would have less of a chance of being scratched in the spin cycle. For drying, use a mesh bag, which you put the shoes in and hang from your dryer's door. If you put them loosely in the dryer, they bang around too much and the dryer can stop if a big enough thud happens.
I throw all of my gym shoes in the washer. They say that you can also put them in the dishwasher. I would say they would probably be okay.
In the 1960s you'd have gotten an answer like- no , because you'd break it. It depends on how stink they are. You may make the smell worse and end up washing two or three times.
Yes you can wash them. Try using Febreeze after you are done drying them.
I do this with all 6 of my childrens shoes. I usually put them in with an old towel and they come out nice and clean. I then let them air dry in the garage.
